Company History

Established in 2007, Oxley Heritage Horses Inc. (OHH) s a not for profit Association of local residents from   the New England Tablelands in New South Wales.

Max Brennan has given over his property 'Bora' at Enmore south east of Armidale to be a sanctuary for the horses from the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park.

OHH has managed horses from the Apsley gorge near Walcha and the Mcleay gorge near Hillgrove.   Some of the Brumbies from the Guy Fawkes River National Park have also found  a home at Bora.

Rehoming fees

The rehoming fees placed on the horses  are used for the upkeep of the horses. The main cost is feed as the horses are fed all year round to keep them manageable.

There are other costs, transport of the horses to Bora, about a three hour journey, vet fees especailly gelding of colts and stallions, advertising, registration, web site up keep. About half the cost of keeping the horses is recouped by rehoming fees, the rest is provided by private contributions from Max  Brennan and Arleen Packer foundation members of OHH.
